Chinese new year is another holiday where i find visiting a rather superficial tradition. i see these faces once a year. or maybe a few more times because of certain celebrations or moanings. a few card games, having a few meals throughout the day.
this new year is rather 'political'. really glad that my generation of cousins have a consensus toward what our fathers are going through. i took the wheel throughout the day and my parking still sucks! and just before i get bored again, the last place of visit sparked lots of idea in my head.
the story of a shopkeeper and a little boy. a typical old furniture shop along geylang. the uncommon visit of a single mother and her son spun alot of heartland stories that i felt much for as my aunt spoke and my cousin reenacted the eccentric behaviour of a 9 year old boy. i will write them done and hopefully develop a script out of the stories i have heard.
