can i say i just had some culture shock or something.
call me a frog in the well.
i'm absolutely fine with it.
14Do everything without complaining or arguing,
15so that you may become blameless and pure,
children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation,
in which you shine like stars in the universe
16as you hold out the word of life—
in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that
I did not run or labor for nothing.
Philippians 2:14-16
this was the verse that came to me on day1.
i'm glad that god brought people to accompany me for the past 5 days.
and that he continued to affirm and reaffirm my decision
though it was an honest struggle for me in certain ways.
the phrase 'double-life' just kept surfacing in my mind.
i'm glad i did what i did and i will continue to hang on to my principles.
talked to ppl about it and jia made a good point la.
it's not bringing god's standards down but what we do must still make us approachable and for us to reach out to them.
it's hard when i feel myself swaying or losing grip.
and god showed me a picture while travelling on the bus during camp.
that he'll back me up!
and that's why today's water baptism is exceptionally significant.
i saw the world, the generation.
god seriously hears my prayers and witness my struggles these 5 days
and how i have to shine like star (sermon was timely!)
and i want to be obedient to god. (water bap was timely!)
what i have this mindset that by behaving a certain way,
i will gain something in the 5days.
i will gain something in the 5days.
obedience is key.
god will lay the path right for me.
god will lay the path right for me.
and i cant wait to shine and not take people's condemnation seriously.
and when work kicks in,
i know god's blessing are going to be so adundent!
from today,
it's a new me-
at home,
in school,
everywhere.
thanks to all for the blessings, prayers and affirmation!
i really felt very loved.
