the remains of thanksgiving dinner with cg ytd.
not many turned up.
but i'm glad those who could came:)
really touched by chantel's affirmation.
honestly, i think i couldn't done it all without God.
especially the emotional parts of this whole year.
how many times i just cry out in my heart...
i'm really tired.
i just want to give up everything.
how i thought of leaving church.
how i disagree upon certain things.
how i was totally stressed out by goals.
those internal fights going on in my mind...
yes, it's 'i'.
i am/was too focused on 'me'
reading this book called 'surprised by jesus'
it's really a great book.
made me thing about the things i thought.
the temptations placed in front of me.
Satan strikes an extremely vulnerable point in human psycology.
i find myself focusing on negative things.
i find myself focusing on negative things.
i become consumed with doubts and self- pity.
very much.
'me', 'i'.
Jesus deflects Satan's focus on 'me' by quoting scriptures when he was tempted.
some new year resolutions made early.
got to really soak in the Word man.
and counter-attack those temptations.
another part that impacted me was the part on cutting corners.
"Worship the Lord with your God and serve Him only" Deut 6:13
sometimes i feel that people around me,including myself...
we are passionate for God's kingdom and wants it to be accomplished immediately.
we cut corners with our families, our studies, our non-believer friends
while great good was accomplished,
we missed out on our dangerous patterns of negligence of our loved ones.
i really want to actively bend my life to Him...
rid the temptation to cut corners but to worship him and serve him only.
love this from the book...
" be still and let God be God."
